2nd Bouncing Ball Animation

Summary

These past few weeks, we have been working on creating a second, more detailed animation of a bouncing ball. We started by making a sky layer, and then a ground layer. we drew out the path the ball would follow, and then drew out two balls: one for when the ball was in the air, and one for when it hit the ground. Both of the balls had different faces drawn on them. We then made the balls follow the path we had drawn out by making multiple copies of the balls and placing them on the path, using principles that we had learned like squash and stretch and easing. After all that, we placed the frames into the timeline, and made them into an animated Gif.

What I learned

From this project, I learned how to make a realistic pathway for an object to follow. I also gained a better understanding of how to use Adobe photoshop, and different animation principles such as squash and stretch and easing.

Overall

In the end, I was fairly ok with how this project turned out. I could've made my ending better, but I was working on a time limit and was out of creative ideas. If I was to do this again, I would refine my ending, and draw different faces on my balls.
